Who we are
Sivka Sailing publishes sailing race coverage, debriefs, gear information, and related updates. Questions about this policy or your information can be sent to hello@sivkasailing.com.
Information we collect
When you join the newsletter, we collect your email address, subscription status, and the dates associated with your signup and confirmation. We may temporarily process technical information such as your IP address to prevent abuse. Mailchimp may also provide campaign activity such as deliveries, opens, and link clicks when those features are enabled.
How we use information
We use this information with your consent to send Sivka Sailing news, race notes, content updates, and occasional information about our sailing tools. We also use limited technical information to operate, secure, and improve the signup process. We do not sell or rent subscriber information.
Mailchimp and service providers
We use Mailchimp, an Intuit service, to store subscriber records, send confirmation messages and newsletters, process unsubscribes, and report campaign performance. Mailchimp processes information on our behalf under its own privacy statement. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the security and rights of Sivka Sailing and others.
Retention and your choices
We retain active subscriber information while you remain subscribed. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. After you unsubscribe, Mailchimp may retain a limited suppression record so that we can honor your request and avoid emailing you again. You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your information, or to withdraw consent. Applicable law may provide additional privacy rights based on where you live.
Cookies and external links
This website does not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. Links to Mailchimp confirmation pages, social networks, app stores, and other third-party websites are governed by those services' own privacy practices.
Security, children, and policy changes
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect subscriber information, but no online service is completely secure. The newsletter is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change and will post the revised date on this page.
